Mission Statement

The Town Clerk's office is the official record keeper for the Town of Suffield, responsible for recording, maintaining and certifying land records (including deeds, mortgages, liens, maps, and any other related documents); vital statistics (births, marriages, civil unions, and deaths); minutes and agendas of Suffield's boards and commissions; and other Town records.

Absentee Ballots

Online Absentee Ballot Application System

The Online Absentee Ballot Application System is now live. Residents with current valid Connecticut driver's licenses may apply for an absentee ballot and avoid the paper application. The system imports the signature on file from the applicants CT DMV license. Click below to access the public portal.

Dog License

The State of Connecticut requires all dogs six (6) months or older to be licensed in order to keep track of rabies information.

Due Date: Yearly during month of June

Initial Licensing Requirements:

Complete Dog License Application Form
Rabies Certificate from veterinarian
Spayed or Neutered Certificate from veterinarian, if applicable

Fees:

Spayed or neutered dogs: $8
All others: $19
Late fees: $1 per month

Marriage License

Issued for marriages to be performed in the Town of Suffield
Apply via Online Marriage Application
Call the Town Clerk's Office to set up an appointment to finalize the Marriage License process. Both parties need to appear in person before the Town Clerk with proper identification to sign the Marriage License.
Valid for sixty-five (65) days from date of issue to date of ceremony

The Suffield Town Clerk’s Office is now offering a free service that helps protect residents from potential property and mortgage fraud. Cott Systems’ Property Check will automatically alert you of any recordings regarding the property you specify.
