General Info

The Conservation Commission oversees upkeep of both Sunrise and Stony Brook Parks.  Parks are available for passive recreation.

Hours:
Open daily 8:00 am - published sunset time
Walking trails close 1/2 hour before published sunset time

Open to Suffield residents and their guests (Town sticker required)

History:
Purchased by the townspeople from the estate of Edward M. White. Dedicated July 2, 1966. The name was suggested by Mrs. Karl Kulle because of Easter Sunday Services held there annually at Sunrise.

Reserving Sunrise Park

  • Reservations for each year will not be taken until January 1st
  • Deposit fee of $50.00 required at time of reservation in form of check
    • Payable to “Town of Suffield”
  • Deposit will not be cashed; it will be attached to reservation and returned after function provided pavilion left clean and no damage to park property

Stony Brooke Park

Open to Public

History:
This 70-acre park was given to the town by Charles S. Bissell in 1968 for park conservation purposes.
