Suffield’s beautiful, historic Main Street welcomes neighbors and visitors alike into the heart of its community. But it’s the family owned farms that quilt the pastoral country roads together, forming the back bone of a town that has never forgotten its agricultural roots. Suffield is a quintessential New England town.
Town News
Earlier this week, the State abruptly changed the phased in vaccination guidelines which prioritized essential workers, including Suffield's firefighters. The new vaccination guidelines, set to begin this Monday, March 1st, now include ALL individuals 55+. The State guidelines no longer provide preference for essential workers.
The Town of Suffield, however, will prioritize all eligible 55+ paid and volunteer firefighters first at its clinic. A communication will be sent to these individuals so the vaccine is held for them should they agree. The remaining doses will be prioritized by age only.
