The Suffield Veterans Memorial Expansion Committee is seeking nominations of veterans who entered active-duty service from Suffield, CT and who served our nation worldwide during the Global War on Terror from September 11, 2001 to September 10, 2022 (All Active-Duty Service) and from September 11, 2022 - present (Awarded Global War on Terror Service Medal). Please click the photo below to submit your/their name and service dates to be added to the new memorial being built in 2024 within Suffields Veterans park.

Veterans Appreciation Committee

Mission of the committee is to organize, support and recommend veterans initiatives on behalf of the Town of Suffield.

Veterans Memorial Expansion Committee

Committee created to expand the honor roll in Veterans Park to include veterans from recent wars and conflicts, to address those veterans who were not previously included, to determine eligibility criteria and to collect names of veterans to be honored.

Other items included in scope:

Fundraising
Working with Town to publicize Committee's mission and events
Work with Public Works and Permanent Building Commission on Request for Proposals, scope of work, design and installation and other related activities

The American Legion CT Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Fund

The Connecticut Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines Fund was established in 1919 to assist needy wartime veterans and their families. It is administered by the American Legion in accordance with the provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes, Sections 27-138 and 27-140, and is governed under the Bylaws of the American Legion Department of Connecticut.

Will Power

Will Power for Veterans is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to raise awareness and support for soldiers and veterans of war. Dedicated with love to Sergeant William Davidson who lost his will power due to emotional wounds endured in Afghanistan. Will Power for Veterans is aligned with assorted non profit groups and affiliated organizations for the common good and service to our veterans and first responders who deserve our care and contributions.
